Both were great seasons and I like them the same but I will go with 4 cause my fav dex dexter entered the show.

In Season 3, I liked the kidnapping storyline. One of my favs of the entire series.
But other things, like bringing in Krystle's first husband (good idea in theory), didn't quite pan out that well IMO. I don't know if it was the execution (he never really felt like a threat) or the casting or what. Maybe at its root, it was a rehash of Matthew and Toscanni (man in Krystle's life threatening her relationship with Blake).
In Season 4, even though I was never a Fallon/Jeff fan, I liked how they developed them. She learned from the de Vilbis situation that fast guys aren't all that. I considered her being on the rebound with Jeff, but they had a night together before de Vilbis (while Jeff was married to Kirby?).
