The "Bergerac" show was very populare when I was I child. And I can admit that I watched many of the episodes on Norwegian television (NRK) and enjoyed them, in spite of the fact that I was too young.

Now I wish for a reunion episode". That will be great, with John Nettles back as Jim.
An one-hour long episode would be great. It should focus on something very interesting, for example nuclear power:
Bad Hollywood guys like Edward Furlong, Devon Sawa, Macaulay Culkin and Brad Renfro should have small parts then.
I can admit that Devon is not as bad as the other ones, but I still think he should be involved.

How could Jim possibly come back played by John Nettles?

Nettles is nearly 70!

And four Hollywood stars taking bit-parts in an English drama that lasts one hour?

Yeah, that'd work... They'd do it for little-to-no money, obvs... 😕

I wrote this post ten years ago. Nettles could still play Bergerac by then.

As for the American guys, they hardly demand much salary these days... even less than a decade ago. And Renfro has passed away, so yeah... it's 2014 now and this will never happen.
