RIP, Charlie

Terence Alexander has died.

Utterly brilliant as Charlie Hungerford: "Good God, Jim!". Every single crime investigated by Jim Bergerac seemed to involve a member of Charlie's yacht club / golf club / Freemason Lodge / etc etc. Wonderful.

I am sorry to hear that Terence Alexander has died.
He was a wonderful actor, usually the villain, but a really nice man in real life.He will be a great loss to the acting world.

reply

Yes, Terence Alexander was indeed absolutely brilliant as Charlie. I've often thought that his accent and character were more consistent than Bergerac's!

Mr Alexander has given a great many people a lot of pleasure. R.I.P.

I always think he could have rivalled George Cole with his own show or maybe a Charlie Hungerford spin off. He so reminded me of Arfur

reply

Yes, he was very like Arthur, only more successful! i agree a spinoff series would have been great.
