Fall of a Birdman
Richard Griffiths as a skilled cliff climber - Really?
shareTo be fair, he wasn't as big in this as he later became!
I'm no climber so can't comment on the technicalities, but I thought he put in a good, convincing performance in this episode (- as usual!).
If he was as big he later became no rope in the world would hold him! ?
I'm not doubting his acting ability but in this role, not for me
It does strain credibility. But then i understand Brian Blessed climbed Everest, or attempted to anywY.
shareYes it was ridiculous.
Watching 30+ years later it now seems equally ridiculous for Bergerac to conduct investigations while his latest beau trails along, as is the case in the 2nd series with Celia imrie - I mean, I'm sure it's agsinst police protocol and hadn't she got some high finance job to go to?
Plus bergerc is portrayed as a real like "action man", from scuba diving for sunken Nazi treasure to rock climbing in this episode! It appears there's nothing he can't do?
