Sheriff in Bar cameo

Remember the scene when the lights go out in the Bar and everybody is sitting down trying to stay calm and Sarge Dobb's rants. soon after a creaking sound is heard then everyone looks over and the Sheriff walks into (in silhouette)the Bar and Dobbs shoots him I'm pretty sure that was the movie's Director Greydon Clark doing a cameo. just wanted to add that bit of trivia.

It was a dark scene and the sheriff's face is seen only momentarily. I'll watch it again to see any more clues. UPDATE: The face doesn't look like Clark and looks too old for him at that time and the hair appears blond or white. I don't think it's Greydon Clark, who was about 36 at the time he directed this movie.
