can't believe this movie only has a 6.6 rating

I think this movie deserves at least a 7.3 rating, this is one of the funniest and most watchable comedies I've ever seen.

I agree. I think (for a comedy) it's a solid 8.5 and over-all as a film it's a solid 7 to 7.5.

I just gave it a 10/10. It is definitely a hidden gem - a clever, hilarious comedy from start to end!

reply

I gave it an 8 but judging by other peoples opinions on other threads I'm an idiot so what do I know.

many older movies are underrated here. Used Cars is a classic and hilarious, plus filled with great actors. Miles better than the trash we get these days.

9/10

Agreed. The rating for this great, hilarious, classic comedy is disgraceful. Used Cars is sooo underrated.

"Do you think we like being associated with the President of the United States? We run an honest lot here."

Jesus. Just that line alone is brilliantly funny.

And to think this was Zemeckis and Gale's first big film. Amazing.

Does seem a bit low, especially when you scroll down the board.

It seems most threads sound positive.

Great movie, deserves a a few ticks up the rating grid.

Pffft, my suspension of disbelief has higher standards than that.

Totally agree. One of the greatest comedies I've ever seen.

Actually up to a 6.8 now, sooo...

Wait a minute... who am I here?

I think this movie deserves to be in the same league as Animal House, Blues Brothers, Airplane, Caddyshack and Stripes.

My favorite movie of 1980. Saw it on release, been singing its praises ever since.
