Why after Rudy has sold the guy who he baited the Buick at the start is he walking away with the guys shoes?

I wondered that too, but maybe it was alluding to Rudy taking all the guys money AND the shoes on his feet! Basically robbing the fellow like many used cars dealers... :)

I used to think that Rudy was being sarcastic with Stanley, but notice that Rudy LIKES white shoes, and wears them often. Probably gave the guy some kind of discount if he threw in the shoes, too.

Rudy needless to say was a con man and good at it.
