Found it available for rent on DVD

I found it on Net Flix and just ordered it, for those who want to see it. I originally saw it years ago on late night TV. It's a striking film -- a mess in many places yet genius in others with a stellar soundtrack. It also provides a powerful glimpse into New York City in the late 70's/early 80's.

Enjoy.

again for the first time in years and am impressed with the DVD commentary with director Allan Moyle and star Robin Johnson. They touch upon some of the trials and travails with Robert Stigwood's RSO and how this affected the final film. It explains quite a bit about the problems with the story (including plausability of certain scenes) and the great, albeit uneven soundtrack. Really worth viewing again. Robin Johnson is such a star; too bad RSO/Stigwood pretty much sank her career (this is elaborated on in the commentary). Check the film out -- it's worth it.
