Any news of the soundtrack being released on cd?

I read somewhere that it's been released on cd.

I have the soundtrack in my record collection (mint condition! - never did play the whole thing!)

I wore mine out and bought a second one. Still have both copies.

Amazon has (second hand)vinyl for sale. I've never seen this on CD and I'm a big time crate digger. No Japan or German gray market issues. Too bad, it is a great snap shot of NYC and UK punk and proto-punk. Couple of soft tunes (one from a Bee Gee!) but overall fits the NY kiddy grit of the preposterous plotline of the movie

There's been no end of rumors for years, but as of now any CD you may find of the soundtrack is a bootleg recorded off an old vinyl copy, and probably sounds like crap.

I have a CD copy. It's a burned copy I bought off someone. I play it all the time. I don't know if it was burned off an LP or not but it sounds very good. I hear no normal LP sounds (clicks, hiss, pops, warbles etc....)
