According to IMDB the length of the movie is 111 minutes, which is what's listed on the TCM showing. Apparently there's no cutting.

I find interesting the two shorts following the movie are:

Distant Drummer: Flowers of Darkness (1972)
Filmmakers trace the history of opium and its role in today's drug trade.

Distant Drummer: A Movable Scene (1970)
An education film that exposes drug use and drug culture.

As we know, TCM has a tendency to group issue-like items.

I saw it in their upcoming schedule and was just checking IMDb to see if it was worth watching. I see Leonard Maltin gave it a BOMB, but I guess I'll DVR it and see for myself.

This movie was not made for critics. It was made for punk rockers and misfits. If you're going to listen to old men about movies, you're gonna miss out.

I was fairly square and I loved this movie. I watched it every time it came on cable and would get up just to see it. I was older than the girls and certainly not the target audience for this film but I think it was one of the best of that era.

Was it removed from the schedule? I don't see it.

I guess I'll cut my losses, and turn my tricks at the magic show..

Yup, guess we will have to wait until next time to see how good/bad it is.

Don't know what happened but it was there. I don't know if it played or not cause I have a copy of it. I just found it and thought I'd share it.

reply

Back in the day I liked it. However, I watched it again a few years ago after I found a copy at a local thrift store. With older eyes, I don't like it. Anymore, it's more of a sentimental and nostalgic tug at my heart.

Some of us critics love the movie. I think it is a masterpiece.

Films are not reality. Reality is not film. Film is only an approximation of reality.
