The worst possible soudtrack choices

I couldn't finish this film, despite some very beautifully shot scenes.
A lot of problems with the film, but I think the extremely intrusive and annoying score was the final straw.

The music worked for me but I can see and hear how it might be a turn off to others. I really never thought about it since I read your post and I've seen this film many times. The songs by the female singer were universally good but the repetitive background music could get a little old....

Thanks for your fresh take!

It's DUSTY SPRINGFIELD FOR CHRIST SAKES !!! even if it didn't fit the film great Dusty song though

Sorry about forgetting her name. My bad as she is truly iconic.

Frontiere dropped the ball on this. Sounded like leftovers from The Sting or one of Roger Corman's gangster flicks.

My sig? A milestone! Landmark! A masterpiece! I laughed, I cried!

The music didn't turn me off but I agree it was dreadful! Very cheap, in every sense of the word.

The score was perfect. It cast a circus-like umbrella over the movie, reminding u that the whole thing was a great big joke. I love this movie for all it twists and turns and I suspect that some movies are made under conditions not unlike the set of The Stunt Man.

I know. During the action scenes with the Stuntman doing those really long one-shots, the music sounded like a romantic comedy period piece directed by Mel Brooks and starring he and his wife or something. Or maybe even Brooks's own SILENT FILM. To me I think they were going for a theater of the absurd thing but it was distracting.
