What did Elise McKenna see

When Richard sees the coin and travels back to the future/out of his hypnosis? Did Elise see him just disappear, disintegrate, spontaneously combust? Not that it really matters. I'm just curious.

But Gandalf! I don't want to be a Hobbit~~

reply

I imagine he was being sucked backward into a warp.

reply

He might have faded away.

What ever she saw it sure explains why she was so traumatized and her life drastically changed forever.

reply

That's how I always kinda pictured it.

reply

That's a question I've always had.

Whether she saw him fade away or spin into some vortex, the bottom line is she saw a human being disappear in front of her eyes. An extremely disconcerting event to say the least. It's no wonder her career was derailed. The questions and confusion must have been enormous.

I'd also like to think he dropped the penny as he disappeared.

.

reply

I thought so, too, but he didn't - you see the penny next to the bed when he "gets back", so to speak.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

reply

That scene was so very sad!!! Then to live as long as she did and become aware of the man she loved so long ago was right before her again.

reply

I've always felt that she saw him die of a heart attack in front of her. He woke up back in the present lying on the floor as if he died in her hotel room.

Otherwise he would have woken up in his own bed at the hotel.
