Despite all of the insane things that Jack does in the film, one cannot deny that he aced that job interview
Just re-watched this, could not help but notice this lol

shareThat toothy Jack Grin nails it every time.
shareThe interview does give you a sense of how much Jack has been able to get away with over the years.
shareVery true. This film really makes me think of OJ Simpson and how he had gotten away with so much before the double homicide.
shareGood point, which gave me the shivers for a moment!
The interview comes *after* we've seen Wendy talking about him quitting drinking after he broke his little son's arm, right? So that gives the viewer a sinking thing through the whole interview, knowing the man has serious weaknesses and may be unstable... and here he is totally acing the interview! Such a well done film.
No. The interview was happening when Danny was eating lunch. When Danny is brushing his teeth, Tony tells him Jack already got the job.
shareI was just thinking, with the hotel being haunted, and with 2 caretakers in a row going insane, you'd think despite the loss of money they'd just close the hotel. Here's a crossover comic I'd like to see, The Shining and Ghostbusters. If they existed in the world of the movie the heads of the Overlook hotel would just hire the Ghostbusters.

Which 2 in a row went insane? There were quite a few years between Jack and Grady going insane.
