Not born yet. I honestly think the first time I saw The Shining was while I was watching the movie Twister and in that film The Shining is playing at a drive in movie.
shareI was five. I remember that obviously I didn't go see it then, but I was in a theater when the trailer came on. My mother covered my eyes but I could still hear that heartbeat and the weird violin music, and see white light between her fingers. It gave me nightmares for years just wondering wtf was going to be in that movie when I finally got old enough to watch.

shareGee Strannger...in all honesty...I don't actually remember much about the audience. I was so glued to the film, I probably wouldn't have noticed a fire if it were lit right under my derrière! It DID scare the crap out of ME though...for 2 solid weeks...so I imagine there were some frightened viewers in the audience as well.
I don't usually think to pay attention to audiences, especially when it's a film I'm totally absorbed in.
It interest me to see how scared they are. Also I found that movie the changing on youtube. When I finish I'll bump it. So be on the lookout and we'll talk about it.
