Catch the reference in Archer?
The latest Archer (S06E07 - Nellis) has Pam & Dr. Krieger run into aliens in Area 51. Krieger tells Pam that they communicate telepathically. She holds her hands to her head (to keep it from exploding) and says "Holy Sh!t. Like in Scanners?"
They instead explain how the universe works.
