Should have made a movie about Sugar Ray Robinson

The greatest pound for pound welterweight fighter in history, with an equally flamboyant lifestyle. I mean, why make a movie about LaMotta who's a total douche? But I guess the role was tailor made for DeNiro.

Ray Robinson wasn't much better outside the ring than Jake LaMotta, he was a woman-beater too. Don't know if he was a rapist like Jake though.

Eay's wife Edna Mae had 5 miscarriages. Their son, Ray Robinson Jr., believes that the physical abuse caused the miscarriages.

After watching the documentary "Bright Lights and Dark Shadows" on SRR, I don't really care that much to see a big screen version of his life. I thought that doc did a great job of talking about his life and career and his contradictions.
