I got tongue-tied when I explained to the guy who played George in "The Fighter" why I loved The Fighter so much more. I just landed on the fact that they were mostly loveable Irish American people.
The main character in Raging Bull is just, as one guy posted here, "an @sshat."
Even though I believe that Scorsese is the best director of all time, he didn't make my favorite sports movie ever ("The Fighter).



The Fighter was a mediocre film. Really could have been so much better.

What do you mean "his opinion is wrong"? He didn't say The Fighter was a better movie, he just said he liked it more. Calm down.

The best part of The Fighter was the crack addict brother. Everything else was basically every boxing movie cliche ever made.
