Felt bad at the end

When the killer gets struck in the head with the axe and as he's dying, he cries out for his diseased twin sister. I know he murdered a lot of people (the asshole bully deserved it, though) but I felt bad for him and almost cried. Weird how the next 3 sequels have nothing to do with the original and just rip off The Exorcist and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
