Does anyone know where you can get the newest version of this on DVD?

The Ninth Configuration is one of the best books I've ever read and a favorite of mine, so I've been looking for the film for some time. The only version I can find is the 2002 DVD but I've read in reviews that Warner Bros. put out a newer, definitive version in the past year or so. I can't find it anywhere, not even on Warner Bros. own website. Does anyone know anything about this, or am I just chasing shadows here?

I would be very surprised if a newer version was released. The 2002 release was fairly thorough and the film, while brilliant, is still quite obscure.
