Beginning Song
Does anybody know the name of the artist who sings the song in the beginning of the film? I cannot find it anywhere!

shareDenny Brooks sang it, it was written for the film "Rolling Thunder" only a few years prior to "Ninth Configuration".

I was amazed to hear Denny Brooks' beautiful "San Antone" at the beginning of this film, just as it's at the ending of "Rolling Thunder." I e-mailed him to see if he knew how I could find the song on vinyl, and he said he didn't have a copy -- just to check eBay.
Even though the films aren't related, I see "The Ninth Configuration" as a continuation of sorts to "Rolling Thunder." Both involve the madness of war and the search for meaning during the hardships of life.
It's actually played in the beginning of both films
share"San Antone" is played at the beginning of "Rolling Thunder"? I only remember it at the end. I'll have to watch it again.
shareYes, while Devane is getting off the plane, etc.
shareA copy was up on ebay not too long ago.
Alas, couldn't afford snap it up.
