Anyone seen the full bar room scene?

Wondering if anyone else had seen the full version in where the bar room scene included the demonic rape sequence.

reply

what's this rape scene you refer to!?

It aint like it used to be, but it'll do

reply

one of the bikers sits down on the crazy astronaut and tries to shove his dick in his mouth. Thats what makes kane turn crazy and kill everyone

reply

That's on the Dvd.

reply

Mitchl-2, in the version I'm typing about, there's an actual rape on camera.

reply

Forced oral sex is rape and the scene is on the DVD. Unless you're talking about actually seeing a penis enter a mouth which I seriously doubt was ever filmed.

I saw it in a theatre in 1980. It is NOT shown but it's made clear that's what's being done. The hippie is sitting on the guys chest--all you see is his back but it's made pretty clear what he is doing.

reply

I don't think Richard Lynch has the chance to actually orally rape Cutshaw (as you can hear him in the background telling the other guys to "hold him down" and "he's a fighter"). You definitely see him thrust forward (from a side shot with Lynch on Cutshaw/Wilson's chest), but I don't think he penetrates, as Kane/Keach crushes the glam biker's hand with glass before Lynch can do anything.

reply

I saw it when they were playing this on the IFC about 4 years back.

Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead

reply

You saw the full rape scene? Seems almost no one else has.

reply

I have the uk edition of the dvd and there's no graphic confirmation of forced oral sex. Rather, it's implied. I love this film. I convinced a group of caned doubters to "give it five minutes" after they started moaning it was *beep* They then sat as good as gold for the duration. Atleast one of them now considers this the best film ever! Keach has NEVER been better.

reply

The version I saw showed on screen anal rape.

reply

"The version I saw showed on screen anal rape".

Doubt that very much.

In the revised version of Blattys novel "Twinkle, Twinkle Killer Kane"the author explains the 'updated' exorcism which begins in the barfight. You might find useful information there however asside from a very suggestive thrust by charactor actor Lynch implying the oral rape the film does not contain that level of graphic violence. Additionally the beer spilling sequence implies that Keachs' charactor was being urinated on. Thats what happened in one version of the book. Blatty himself chose to tone down his own written material for the screen.

When I saw a video of this scene on Youtube, it wasn't quite how I remember it. From what I remembered, as soon as Kane flipped, the other patrons of the bar stampeded. Then again, I could be wrong. Memory can be a funny thing, sometimes.

So this is how liberty dies-with thunderous applause?

reply

the version I saw can only be described as "demonic bukkake".

OK?

reply

Either; you saw a different version to one that is currently release...

OR; you don't know what "bukkake" is!!?

It aint like it used to be, but it'll do

From what I remember on the video I saw Kane flipped once Richard Lynch pulled out his c*ck and put it near the astronaut's face. Didn't realize he had actually entered the dude's mouth -- or that this was the implication.

On another point -- why the heck did Kane head down to the bar without backup? If he knew the astronaut was in trouble, why didn't he think to bring MPs along? Common sense, no? I'm sure the waitress who made the call would have made it clear that the dude was in danger.

reply

OK--I saw it up the theatre in its original release. The guy is sitting on the other guys chest. You see it from the back only. It's heavily implied. In the book it's made clear what's happening. Some people said they've seen it but come on! Do you think, outside of a gay porn, two actors would actually do that on camera? That would be definite career suicide--especially back in 1980.

reply

Wasn't there stuff like that in Friedkin's Cruising?

reply

"Cruising" showed only male rear nudity--no frontal. There IS a scene of fisting but they manage to show it without being graphic! Frontal male nudity is rare in Hollywood films. At one point if u showed a guys penis in a shot it got an automatic X rating!

reply

Why are people saying there's a demonic rape in this scene? The only thing I see is Kane and the astronaut getting bullied, the astronaut gets orally raped by a male biker (not actually shown), and then Kane turns into "Killer" Kane and massacres the bikers. Nothing demonic about that at all.

reply

Well said - there is no demonic rape in the literal sense - TNC's only "demons" are human beings, and as you implied, they can be very demonic.

reply

Richard Lynch approaches Stacy Keach as he is on the floor and then says "That's for disgracing the *beep* uniform."
But he doesn't appear to do anything--he turns around and goes to orally rape Scott Wilson.
Something cut there?
