Maniac (1980) or The Prowler (1981) and why?

I definitely prefer Maniac because it had a slightly faster pace and I never got bored watching Maniac unlike The Prowler (which I found to be quite boring in parts).

I love both, but prefer Maniac too. Lucky enough to see both in the theaters when the 80's had the best horror.

I think Maniac is far better. I never really liked Prowler. To me it just seemed like a Friday the 13th knockoff except not very good (even by Ft13th standards, lol).

Maniac has a better overall story. The Prowler gets boring once the great kills are over.
