Hey guys i was wondering has anyone bought any of the dvd copies off ebay? i bought one from a guy in canada and i was wonderng was it ever released in canada on dvd? or am i getting a bootleg? if its a bootleg the picture made it look pretty good. and if you have gotten it off ebay how was the quality? well thanks guys
shareThe movie has never been officially released on DVD so the odds are good that you purchased a bootleg off EBAY.
shareThe DVDs on Ebay are definitely bootleg and from overseas but are dubbed from the original VHS. Whoever did it did a wonderful job. The sound is in Dolby and the picture is crystal clear. I dubbed it to MV4 for my Ipod and it looks and sounds great. I had my reservations at first about whether or not it was an edited version (I hadn't seen the movie in over 15 years) but the movie looks pretty complete with all the memorable scenes intact.

Not a bad investment, especially when it's the only way to get it on DVD, and who knows what will happen with the soundtrack if there's an official release.
What do you think Tatum O'Neal would think if you approached her in NY with the bootleg copy for an autograph?
i work at a movie store, and i have never seen this movie on DVD. i am anxious for it to be releases though, my mom loved that movie when she was young. still no word on if/when it'll be released. :-/
shareI got the bootleg copy off ebay, and it works absolutely great! I first saw this movie when i was about fourteen or fifteen, and i absolutely fell in love with it and Matt Dillon. I had been trying for years to get it, when i saw it on ebay and bought it for like $6.00, and it made my day.
shareI believe this was actually released on DVD at one time officially. Some of the music had been changed and I think there were some lame edits too. I stuck with my recorded off cable copy for that reason. Before that it was a copy with lame commericals and TV edits. Perhaps one day this'll get a proper release.
shareI haven't bought one from eBay, I just burned my video version I taped off of HBO onto a DVD disc.
I hope it does come out on DVD with all the extra footage that was only shown when they played the movie on TV.
