rating?
What is this movie rated? I am 15... is it appropriet for me?
shareit depends do your parents let you watch rated r movies that include sex in them if they dont then its not a good movie for you...
shareThis was rated R in 1980 when it came out. By today's standards, it would definitely not be rated R. There is no nudity or f-words. Some profanity. It would be a good idea to watch it with your parents because it brings up some very good discussion points about peer pressure and virginity.
shareI think it's a great movie for a 15 year old to watch. I used to have this movie on vhs but it was actually stolen by my ex what a freak he hated the movie. I showed it to my friend who kind of thought of me as her big sister and she fell in love with it like i did. I recommend asking your parents about it but I think it's a perfect coming of age movie for young teenage girls. the message still speaks volumes today.

It was released 4 years before the PG-13 rating was introduced; it's really closer to that rating. As for nudity, there's the scene where the girls watch the boys skinny dipping; I don't know if you consider bare butts nudity, but I thought I'd mention it.
shareFor a cute movie, it was pretty racy at the time for a big studio movie to show pubescent girls running aroung stealing condoms, etc. You won't see this in Cheaper By The Dozen or any of that other teen drek !
shareI find this thread depressing. Here's an excellent, thoughtful film that addresses all sorts of genuine issues about adolescent sexuality, starring mostly people under 17, and targeting issues of most immediate relevance to 12 - 16 year old kids, yet the prospect of adolescents viewing it without a chaperone is viewed with trepidation.
For crying out loud -- turn on the television on any channel for any 60-minute slot and you'll see more nudity, sex jokes, crass sexualizing of teens -- and without any redeemingly thoughtful content. The fact that this movie can be deemed "inappropriate" while dramas like 90210, melrose Place, Dawson's Creek, The OC , ad nauseum, are regarded as standard TV fare is really really sad.
If you're 15 and the synopsis of this movie sounds interesting to you, then yes, it's appropriate for you. If you're comfortable talkign about sex with your parents and want to watch it with them, great. But even better, get a friend or two together and watch when your folks are out. Have some snacks, enjoy the movie, talk late into the night.
Then, a day or so later, mention to your folks you watched it and see whether they've seen it too, and liked it as much.

What a BS artist you are. First you come online and quote Risky Business, then a YEAR later you post in the forums that you are 15 and unsure if it is OK to watch Little Darlings.
