Did I miss something?

I know in the movie Cinder says that her parents sent her off to camp in the hopes of cooling off her romance with her fiance. But- and maybe I'm clueless having never gone to summer camp, but how likely is it that someone like Ferris- with major money- would end up at the same camp as Angel? I don't remember if she said in the movie why she was there, but I just don't see her parents spending all this money for her to study abroad and live in this mansion and ride around in a Rolls- then go off to some camp for the summer. Did I miss something- did she say why she was there?

My only guess right now is that maybe her dad wanted to send her somewhere he thought she would have fun since he and her mother were about to get a divorce. i am sure he probably didn't want her to witness all that mess so he sent her to a place where she could just be a kid and have fun.

as far as why they were at the same summer camp... who knows. maybe it was the only one close to their city. whenever i went to summer camp there were all kinds of people there...some from wealthy families and some from working class families.

Same reason "Sharon" in The Parent Trap was sent to summer camp. To mingle with other kids :-)

Yes, I think Angel got a "Scholarship". You know how they send poor city kids to farms and work with horses, so they get a taste of life out of the city? Of course, that is what I remember I haven't seen it in ages (I could be wrong).
