Which one of the actresses was murdered by her boyfriend?

I read a comment on youtube that one of the actresses was strangled by her boyfriend.

Look up Dominique Dunne (Poltergeist, Fame) and Alexa Kenin (Little Darlings), whoever said that probably got them mixed up.

Actually, there were rumors going around that Alexa Kenin was beaten to death by her ex-boyfriend. But alas, no one knows what really happened to her. Although I read somewhere (unreliable) that she died from a heroin overdose.

Did not recall the ex-boyfriend part! The noted specifics (strangling?) reminded me of Dominique, but yeah, no reason to assume they weren't just talking about Alexa here and peppering the story a little.

I read it was an ex boyfriend and I also read that it was a whacky fan. Either way, it's very sad, isn't it? I loved A House Without A Christmas Tree. I must have watched it 50 times when it was on HBO in the 80s. There's a picture of her here:

IMDB lists her death at 1985, and then has her appearing in films after that. What's going on there?

Just means that the movies were filmed before but released after her death.

The last credit was for 'Animal Behavior' in 1989 - it seems to have been shelved for a few years after filming. A review posted by an extra in the movie says that it was filmed mostly in the early 80s.

It was Alexa Kenin. If you watch 'Pretty in Pink', the film is dedicated to her in the closing credits because she was murdered before the completion/release of the film.

I really liked her character in Little Darlings.
Such a tragedy.
