The Aliens Were The Best!!!

Man I must have saw this AGES ago on channel 13 in NY. Most likely I probably saw it when it first came out, I thought it was a very interesting movie and as a child back then it really intrigued me. Interestingly enough I do remember a lot about this film and I've only seen it just once, but the thing that sticks in my mind the most about this were the aliens!

I'm talking about when he made them "friendly and peaceful" I've always thought that they were the coolest, I've often wound up wanting one of them for my own! From what I remember they were kind, wise and had these great quotes of wisdom for you no matter what happened. Unless I'm remembering it wrong but if I'm not I've always wanted one of them as my friend for the longest!
