Bad reviews on Opening Night in NY & LA, and the directors asks the studio to pull it. Why did he get to make that demand. We all know that critics are fartbags. The people should have been allowed to choose. 3 1/2 hours, yes, is a risky proposition, but this is a damn fine movie! Great script, acting, scenery, writing, this film had it all. If UA left it out in th theatres, it may have made some money. At worst, they could have had it aired on network TV as a mini-series. It's a shame that this is labled as a failure. There is a lot of crap in the theatres that make money( Final Destination 5......really?). People who love movies, would have gone to seen this film. None of the cast need to be embarrassed, they were terrific. I got this from Netflix...I strongly recommend this film. THIS FILM NEEDS TO BE SEEN!

I;m with you. I have seen this movie twice, but I must admit both times it took a few days to watch. I enjoyed it. Some of my favorite unforgettable scenes of all times the waltz at Harvard in the Beginninb and the rollerscaters at the middle who is to say. I tried to sit through AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH,MUNICH and other critically acclaimed Harvey Weinsten movies and literally had to walk out. Sure this movie could have been shorter, sure there were some mistakes but I was entertained and enjoyed it.
