Why blame Kris Kristofferson?
I've read in a couple of places that Kristofferson's career was hurt badly by this movie. That makes no sense at all, at least to me. I've never seen the movie, but surely the lead actor has very little impact on the success or failure of any picture. It didn't seem to hurt Walken or John Hurt or Jeff Bridges. It makes sense that Cimino's career would be hurt; after all, the director is responsible for the movie as a whole.
Nobody blamed 'Cleopatra' on Liz and Dick!
I disagree with what you are saying, but I will fight to your death for your right to say it;-)
