I love watching John Hurt. What was he doing in this film? Was he just there to add a big name to the cast list? His character was entirely irrelevant and ended up being embarrassing. One of many problems I had with this film - a major misfire.

More than that i din't understand a word he said. Maybe he was practicing to the "Elephant man" role
But because his character was irrelevant, i I really didn't care.
