There's a lot of "pretty little head shots" in this movie http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PrettyLittleHeadshots.

I would have thought that Cimino would have been above this, especially since he pulled off the violence at least semi-realistically in The Deer Hunter.

I'm not judging the whole movie by it, but it is a bit of a bummer.

It cheapens the experience, and loses some authenticity.
