German DVD of Heaven's Gate, running time 209 minutes?!
I recently bought the Criterion blu-ray and I knew I had a German/European DVD of Heaven's Gate somewhere up in the attic. I thought it was the 149 min version. When I looked at it the running time was 209 minutes (3 h 9 min), but there is no info of any kind of this "cut", 10 minutes shorter than the Director's Cut. What is missing here? It was released by MGM and 2004 stands on the back (don't know if it was released that year because Amazon says 2007 and another site says 2009), and on the front cover you got both the English title and the German title (Das Tor zum Himmel).
