Supernatural?

OK. It's a good two decades since I watched this film, but from memory Wolfe is not supposed to be a 'supernatural' character. Surely he is a Derren Brown of the Eighties, using hypnotism and tricks to do his stuff.

There's a scene where he becomes 'invisible' - but only to the person he's with (who he has suggested to that he is invisible). He is perfecty visible to the remote viewers watching on camera. (And this is the Harlequin reference).

Happy to be corrected...

Oh, that's completely the opposite of what I was thinking.... We just watched it so it's fresh in my mind. I thought there WAS something supernatural about him. The way he moves that lump down the woman's arm and everything, the influence he has over people....

But I have to admit you got me thinking now.... maybe it was just magic (lower-case), sooooo, I'll just have to watch it again now.

I always thought he was a wizard or magician or some such beast. it a while since I watched it though, to be perfectly honest.

But did the lump really move? Or did he make her think that it was moving?

I agree with your logic, it was the same as mine anywya. However it does pose a million other problems...without that monitor sot it'd be undoubtedly a supernatural film, Derren Brown etc can't do stuff like that!
