The blu ray is wonderful!

Aside from the beginning credit sequence and ending with the chipmunk dancing to "I'm Alright". The whole middle looks like it was shot yesterday-so clean!

Funny, I've see that movie hundreds of times, but I've never seen a chipmunk.

the 2008 region 2 dvd release of this is unbelievable, it looks blurry, spotty screen and grainy, released from wb and all, i mean it's absolutely watchable but it really blew me away, such a major well known classic comedy with such a poor dvd transfer from warner brothers label no less, with no bonus material. it's amazing, the decade where chevy chase was in his prime (guess this was before his real breakout roles though) somehow he isn't funny in these caddyshack movies, he often in this just plays sort of like an arrogant snob and is overshadowed by all other actors, it doesn't make sense since i overall enjoy his 1980's performances, i like this movie, but i just noticed on my latest view it don't seem to age as well as for instance "national lampoon's vacation", "fletch" and other 80's comedies. rodney enters like a circus riot, he is like a cartoon, and the casting of the angry guy from the twilight zone episode "the lonely" is very funny, casting serious actors in comedies often works good, and isn't bill murray's brother in this in his thirties or something?, he comes off as a grumpy old guy, odd how this movie's sequel has almost an entirely different cast even though it's made just a few years later, and not a b movie sequel, but a major movie replaced with other well known comedy stars. the highlight of this is chevy chase walking into bill murray's... home? and can't handle his same way of living and turns into a wreck in five seconds. but again, also in that scene his role is at its most off putting.

you eye my brain in beam,
while im distracted by your lips,
in your mouth my brainwave enter in,
you swirl it around,
grind your teeth up n down,
chew on it like gum and wet,
as you slip my heart in chain,
suddenly my whole being you took control over,
turned me into your frankenstein monster.
