Might be my favorite quote ever. It's funny on the surface, but when analyzed, is even more humorous.
"The key is, you've got to be crazy to maintain your sanity"
I use that line on my kids/nieces/nephews all the time. They have no idea where it's from, but all the adults in earshot do.

Awesome.
And your avatar image and screen name just make it all the better.
My friend and I use that line, too, but we do it as a team. We'll be approaching a bar or food counter or something similar, and one of us begins saying how they want so many things from the menu, and the other chimes in with the line.
I read an interview with a female professional golfer... no, I can't remember who... and she stated that only recently a friend had insisted that she sit down and watch "Caddyshack" for the first time.... and throughout the whole movie, from "...so I got that going for me, which is nice" to "be the ball, Danny" to "it's in the hole!!!" to "I don't think the heavy stuff is gonna come down for awhile" to "pool or a pond...", she found herself saying, "Ohhhh... that's where that comes from!!!" Too funny. We don't even realize how much of our vernacular... especially on the golf course... comes from repeated quotes from Caddyshack.
shareBilly Baroo was not a golf club until after this movie
sharethe lines in this really sticks and the movie is being quoted so much, it escapes me that rodney dangerfield is in this since the credits and plugs always refers to chevy chase and bill murray, so i missed most of it last time it aired, come to think of it, the chevy chase role is pretty off putting in both these caddyshack movies, and his part is not funny at all what i can recall, that's unusual for chevy chase in the 1980's, but this is kind of an exception and a hint on what were to come, usually i like chevy chase but this is definitely dangerfield's and bill murray's movie, also there are two actors from the classic twilight zone series "well... we're waiting" (again playing a nasty guy here) and why in the world has brian doyle murray's appearance changed so drastically between the early 1980's and late 80's... from what i remember the sequel to this was pretty boring and unfunny overall. in case you're not aware of it, there is something sort of like what can be viewed as a third in this series, a golf documentary/comedy titled "a golf guide to style and etiquette" or something made in the late 1990's or so.

bundled up pants on genie shoes,
like a curse, coverin your boobs,
most desirable woman disappear from view,
i buried myself in a tomb,
at final night i was left to die,
in cool make-up and hot dress she arrived,
and dragged me out of the ground.
