The Official BBTS Recycling Thread

OK it's been mentioned previously that footage from BBTS can be seen in other Sci-Fi movies. Let's see how many movies have re-used

-Footage

-Models

-Set

-Costume

I'll Kick off with...

Android (1982) Re-uses- Trooper costumes, Weapon Props and the set from the Scientists space station.......

As a kid (who LOVED Battle Beyond the Stars), Space Raiders was probably the most confusing moment of my life. Just sitting there going "but... but... this is all the same footage from... huh?!"

I recently came across the trailer for Roger Corman's ill-fated "Fantastic Four" film from 1994 on YouTube and it recycles the theme music from "Battle Beyond The Stars"

The theme music was reused for "Wizards of the Lost Kingdom"

Footage of Sador's hammerhead spaceship appeared in the TV movie "Murder in Space".

Actually this may not have been Corman's normal situation. A lot of film makers use old recordings for trailers because the trailer often has to be in cinemas before the score has been recorded.

An example. The trailer for 'James and the Giant Peach' used music from 'Nightmare Before Christmas' although the final film didn't.

Although I do realise that Corman is famous for re-using stuff.

the main theme was used in the UK on "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!" a few weeks ago

If I remember correctly (its been a while) the early eighties laser-disc arcade game "Astron Belt" recycled a clip from BBTS

I think Horner's score was reused for Corman's fantasy "epic" Sorceress (1982). His music from Humanoids From the Deep is certainly in it. Shots from Sorceress were also recycled for Wizards of the Lost Kingdom, along with shots from other Corman Conan-wannabees.

I watched the full movie on YOutube recently, and I couldn't see any of the sets, or spaceships that were originally used in BBTS.

So this is how liberty dies-with thunderous applause?
