Finally got it on DVD in the UK - London Film and Comic Con

Went to London Film and Comic Con yesterday and found the US Import Region One DVD (and Blu-Ray) of Battle Beyond the Stars so for any fans of the movie in the UK if you are going to the Sunday show then you will find copies of the film on at least two stalls selling imported US DVDS.
Havent watched the film itself yet but have watched all the excellent extras and the picture looks better than ever.

Unfortunately you bought it three days before the release of the bluray :(

I havent switched to blu-ray yet so not too worried about it. They had both there plus lots more Corman classics.
