Many emotions

This movie made me feel a host of different emotions. I was scared to death and gasping at the slaying and crucifiction of the 7 eyed goat. It was so freaky when the cross was floating away from the center of the screen. I was annoyed at Dr. Jessup's intellectual blabber and his total apathy for his wife. I was laughing my butt of when he hit the elephant in the head with a rock. Then I was mesmerized at the special effects towards the end. It was very vaginal to me. I was completely exhausted by the end of the movie but it was probably one of the most unusual and unsettling films I've ever seen.

So Dr. Jessup found no meaning to life and that all there is, is love?

The main "emotion" I had was repulsion towards all these inadequate and pretentious characters. This movie was terrible. There are real intellectuals and then there are the kind that want people to say "gee whiz, he sure is smart." Those ones are annoying because they go out of their way to make an impression on everyone. That's the worst thing a person can do. Every character in the movie was like that. I think this movie had a little bit of interesting content amidst all the fluff, but it's nothing you can't get from a couple paragraphs of reading from a book.

Another annoying thing about this movie was the yelling, swearing, nudity, etc. as an attempt to show us that these characters were natural or genuine--totally lame.

Its true, the movie is blatantly copied in Aha's video. I'm glad I'm not the only person who's caught the reference. There is supposedly a remake in the works that'll deal with genetics.

Watched the film on TV just occasionally some years ago and was really fascinated. First I wanted to turn it off coz of all this 80's stuff - haircuts, clothes and all this lol. I hate 80's style of life)). But then I saw Hurt and decided to wait a little coz I like this actor, though not all of his films are so good. Very strange and a little hysterical as many of Russel's films, has some ridiculous dialogs but definitly worth watching! Odd and emotional view on some global issues (consciousness determines being and all that). Kinda risky project I suppose but very impressive.
