My Only Gripe

I watched AS again last night and it really is a great picture, gets better with each viewing. My only gripe is the casting of Charles Haid as Mason. He chews the scenery and spits it out. And what is that supposed to be, a Southern accent? Was Mason Parrish some kind of hick intellectual in the novel, too?

I watched it again this weekend with a friend (one of the few people who could appreciate this film) and he thought Mason was a riot, so you could be right.

Awesome *beep*ing movie.
