This was based on John C. Lilly

this film was about the life of a real person, Dr. John C. Lilly. He did psychonautical research with the drug Ketamine, invented the isolation tank, and did groundbreaking work with dolphins. Read his autobiography 'The Scientist'. It is incredible.

followed ya until you got to the dolphins. is that just extra bio material or did i miss something in Altered States?

reply

extra bio material. he was way into inter species communication.

reply

has anyone ever done inter-materialistic communication studies in a way that wasn't bizarro-cult?

reply

hmmm... not sure what you mean by "inter-materialistic communication"
i'm not familiar with that term

reply

i should say materialistic intercommunication. in the sense of elements.

reply

then i would say lilly has. check out his book MAN AND DOLPHIN

reply

will do; thanks. does he have any connection to the mega-conglomerate pharmaceutical family?

reply

not that i am aware of

reply

Since dolphins are so smart, can I bang it? yum then eat it.

Fu Manchu wants to eat a dolphin he has had sex with. I don't recall Werner Oland or Christophe Lee ever doing that. Karloff might have.

Since dolphins have been known to attempt, and commit, rape on human beings, regardless of gender, I'd think twice before getting into that tank!

Hell yes. That book is mind bending.

And dolphins have raped humans? Is that true? That is nuts!
