I know that you're talking about the "Dog Whisperer" episode, but do you
remember the "Tooth Fairy" episode? Kyle becomes obsessed with philosophy.
Then he reads so much of it that he starts going through this wierd and never
explained transformation. Wasn't that also an homage to altered states?
