just watching Altered States again and remebering how this movie started my love affair with Magic Mushrooms, I had to be 12 or 13 when i saw this film in the early eighties and it forever peaked my intrest in the holy sacremental mushrooms of the central american indians , unfourtunatly i lack a good old fashioned isolation chamber so could never hope to recreate the total sensory deprivation experiments but it at least gives one somthing to strive for. Great movie apart from the cheesy ending

I've only done shrooms once, and I thought they were pretty intense.

try taking them in the mountains or on the beach..... any place where you are surrounded by nature, its absolutely beautiful

Without the mushrooms existing this film wouldn't exist either....
