Too bad, had some good potential *SPOILERS*

I don't go around bashing every movie I don't like but I can't help posting where something which had good potential turned out to be bad. This movie did indeed keep me very engrossed though.

When I watched the thing on the cross, I was expecting something like the 'Prince of Darkness', I guess something sinister maybe in a biblical sense but the ape scene & the abrupt ending really ruined it. & now, I can only think of this movie as a tease.

I would have liked it a lot more if it was geared more towards horror rather than this search for self/enlightenment thing. Though I wouldn't mind if the premise of
enlightenment was used as a means for that.

To give the devil his due, it kept me quite entertained till the middle, the acting, effects etc were all good but I was expecting more than him turning into an ape & later into a shapeless ameoba like thing.
