Reading over the comments on this message board I'm surprised to see so many people who are more scared of a woman's hairy armpits than of a hairy apeman.

Maybe they represent an untapped audience for horror movie makers.
How long will it be before these hair policemen can add their misogynistic comments to the IMDB message boards for new horror classics such as "The Creature With Hairy Armpits" or "Pits Follows" or "Paranormal PIttxperience 3D?"

Is it simply an unthinking taboo passed from one person to the next? Attempts to bring back female bodily hair seem to have failed.
