There was a joke about a young boy saying he was getting married and someone was listing all the expenses of marriage and having kids came up. The kid said, "so far we have been lucky."
Well, I saw this episode as a kid, and told my dad the joke when he came home and he was so pissed he called the local network and complained.
Hey Anniston, I know the joke you're referring to very well, but not from TCFC. I did watch the show often in the 1980s on ABC, have not seen it since, and don't remember it on there. But this joke was one of the Bathroom Humor ones from the April, 2008 issue of Hustler Magazine (with Texas' Liz Ashley on the cover and as its centerfold--or Hustler Honey). I suscribed to Hustler for a year in December, 2007, and that was the first issue I recieved, last January. It is also my favorite issue, mainly for her, but I've also often thought of and reread this joke in it. My own father died in November, 1981 just before we began watching TCFC, I don't know how he'd feel about this joke (or Hustler), but are you sure you saw this joke on TCFC and not this Hustler issue?
"I happen to be a vegetarian". Lex, from Jurrasic Park
I saw this joke on an episode last week. Someone (Monroe maybe? I guess I have a pretty short memory) was trying to cheer Henry up when he was really upset about something.
