Why the regular cast is not listed?

I have the impression that in this show and some others some of the main characters are not listed in the cast...

Yeah it's really weird, the main characters, Ted Knight, JM Bullock, etc, are not listed anywhere. I've never even heard of some of the other characters listed.

Very strange.

For whatever reason, IMDB have started listing the main cast of some television shows in the seasons/episodes section. If you open up any of the seasons and any of the episodes, you will see them listed there. I don't see why they can't be listed also on the main page.

Thanks so much, modano, for pointing this out. I noticed it in a couple of other shows and was going crazy trying to figure out how to inform IMDB the main casts were missing. I thought it was a glitch but it looks like it's intentional.

It also states that Ted Knight was only in 2 episodes. This s def. wrong.

wow, way screwed up. audrey meadows, 2 eps??? she was practically one of the main stars. her feuding with knight was one of the biggest highlights of the show behind jm j's antics...

scary stat - ted knight was 3 years older than her mother in law ???!!!

I noticed that several characters were on the shwo until 1986, but IMDb says the show lasted until 1985. There are many errors in the listing.

I think the main characters not being listed might be because of an IMDB problem. First, it puts the actors and actresses with the most "episode listings" (where a particular episode is described) at the top of the list. That's why Van Valkenberg is at the top (31 episodes listed). Second, whoever created those episode listings (for instance Van Valkenberg's 31) forgot to put Ted Knight as a cast member! I'm certainly not blaming the people who edit these episode entries. IMDB should have a slot for primary or principle cast that doesn't change order, no matter how many episode listings a principle cast member has.

Or someone is just lazy, I think the tech that works on the "Too close for Cmfort" page is on permanent vacation.

why isn't Andrew Rush a main character on the show?.

The twins that played Andrew, both older and younger sets, were always listed in the closing credits and always credited as guest stars, not regulars. Sometimes many episodes would go by without even seeing Andrew.
