Loved this Show Then...and Now

I guess I used to watch this show when I was younger because I remember some things about it...the theme song, the girls' apartment, and Monroe. Now that I am older I am really enjoying watching the reruns. Ted Knight was really an excellent actor with great range. I remember him most from Caddyshack so it is nice to see him in a more humerous, down to earth role. I'm always nostalgic for anything early 80's and this show is such a nice reminder of the times...families spent more time together, ate meals together, no cell phones, no laptops, iPads, etc....mroe focus on each other. The theme song is relaxing and upbeat at the same time...I try not to miss the beginning of the show so I can hear it! Great show and so happy it is on AntenaTV.

Yeah, great show with the best theme music ever! Too bad Ted Knight passed because it could've gone on 3 or 4 more years.

As a kid I watched it too on a UHF station in the mid 80s in in the 5 or 6 o'clock hour and recently rediscovered it on Antenna TV, the house is smaller than I remember it being. Funny there will be some scenes I remember almost completely 25 years later and other stuff that seems new to me.

I remember very little of the show; I did think that Monroe was cute and sweet so I probably watched the show to see him. I also had a huge crush on George Michael. I still don't have gaydar. Anyway, yes, the upstairs part of the house does seem small. It it is a cute hous though, well decorated. I remembered there being more episodes with Sara and her dating life but it seems that there are really more about Jackie. I do miss the early 80's fashion, although I wouldn't wear it now, it was modest, and earthy, yet feminine, a far cry from just a few years down the road with the huge shoulder pads, bright colors, and geometric shapes.

Good show. I've always liked the main theme.

Yup, I remember pulling it in on my UHF loop antenna on a B&W TV every Saturday afternoon.
The fact we watched it through such a "primitive" source made it appear different.
Good times, nonetheless
