Who played Karla?

It is not listed on the complete cast, does anyone know who plays Karla in the Indian jail scene? It looks a little like Patrick Stewart.

Patrick Stewart, an actor with one of the richest voices in the world, played Karla in both TTSS and Smiley's People - and didn't have a single word of dialogue.

It's not on the so-called "complete cast" for the series, because actors who are only in a single episode of s series or miniseries are only listed on that single episode's cast, so as not to make the "complete cast" overlong.

Stewart did a lot of small parts (in films) before Star Trek. He is Leodegrance in Excalibur and a Russian General in Wild Geese II (not that many saw that one). He is another actor who knows how to cenvey things via body language. It's a shame that his post-Trek roles (film) rarely seem take advantage of his skills.

Patrick Stewart was unforgettable as Lenin in The Fall of Eagles, and early 70's BBC series. He WAS Lenin. He also played Serjanus in I Claudius, another great BBC series.
