I Wonder why there was no Joint U.S./Soviet Mars Mission in the Martian Chronicles rather than the Joint U.S./NATO Mars as depicted in the Movie? In The storyline of the Movie had the Cold War escalated to such that such a joint Mission forbade it? I Know in the Movie 2010 the American and Russian Scientists went to Jupiter together in spite of Cold War Tensions back on Earth!
shareI think in 2010 the only reason the americans and soviets went together was because the americans needed them to get there and the soviets needed the americans to re activated HAL. Because even when they got there things on earth got so out of control they had to sperate.
