Goofs; gravity on Mars.

I see that this is listed as a goof.

Movies set on mars seldom make an effort with regard to this.

Total Recall made no attempt at this whatsoever, yet there, it's not listed as a goof.

JOHN CARTER played fast and loose with the concept, not listed as a goof there either.

strange.

Everything will be OK in the end, if it aint OK,it aint the end.

I don't think it really counts as a goof myself. I mean it's likely that anyone living in a lower gravity field (under 1 g) for long enough would adapt to it eventually. That is you would get used to gravity being slightly less than what you experience here on Earth. And in the case of beings born on Mars they wouldn't know any difference since they were born there. In fact they would probably find our gravity to be heavier and harder to adapt to than we would going from 1 g to less than 1 g.

Stuff like this doesn't bother me much. As far as I know there are no Martians, or ruins on the red planet either.

By the same token, the sun would be smaller than we see it, and it would be colder. I suppose they could tell us those were thermal uniforms; but it still doesn't explain the sun.
